The CCUK Library is open to users from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily, from Mondays to Fridays except on Public Holidays. Library users can access the physical library and its services within these opening hours. Note that digital resources are accessible 24/7 via the e-Library portal.
Yes. CCUK is a single university but currently has two branches: one at Civic Center and one at Dawaki road. CCUK students can therefore access all University and Library services through any of its branches. Visiting students are required to present their identification cards and an introductory letter from their parent institution before accessing library services at CCUK.
You can get registered with CCUK Library through the Circulation Desk in the physical library or you can fill the online library registration form here (link to attached form). All officially enrolled students and staff of CCUK are entitled to membership.
You should use either the Traditional Card Catalogue (for older materials) or the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Both systems contain records of all materials held by the Library (print and digital). If you cannot find what you need in the catalogue, please seek immediate assistance at the Circulation Desk or Reference Desk.
If the catalogue indicates the book should be available but you cannot locate it on the shelf, please seek assistance at the Circulation Desk or from any library personnel in the reading areas. The book may be on a cart waiting to be re-shelved, in the bindery, or mistakenly placed.
The borrowing limits are set by user category:
  • Students: 3 items
  • Staff (Academic & Non-Academic): 5 items
